Our history
John Cacoulidis developed a passion for construction in the early 1960s and founded Grand Metro Builders in 1985. Over the decades, the company built and operated a portfolio of commercial properties centered on quality and long-term ownership.
Today, the business is led by his son, George Cacoulidis, under the name Grand Metro Properties. Having grown up in the business and built a career in the legal and corporate side of commercial real estate, George assumed leadership in 2015. Since then, he has continued expanding the portfolio across Maine and Long Island while guiding the firm into its next chapter.
Grand Metro Properties oversees leasing, property operations, asset management, and acquisitions across more than one million square feet of space. With an in-house management team, each building receives close attention and responsive service. The focus remains simple - stable properties, lasting relationships, and workplaces tenants can depend on.
