Grand Metro Properties (GMP) is a second-generation, family-owned commercial real estate firm specializing in Class A properties. As a long-term owner-operator, GMP is known for operational excellence, hands-on management, deep local expertise, and strong tenant relationships. The firm has built a distinguished reputation as a trusted owner-operator across the markets it serves.

Our history

John Cacoulidis developed a passion for construction in the early 1960s and founded Grand Metro Builders in 1985. Over the decades, the company built and operated a portfolio of commercial properties centered on quality and long-term ownership.

Today, the business is led by his son, George Cacoulidis, under the name Grand Metro Properties. Having grown up in the business and built a career in the legal and corporate side of commercial real estate, George assumed leadership in 2015. Since then, he has continued expanding the portfolio across Maine and Long Island while guiding the firm into its next chapter.
